Recognize Inspiration…Everytime!

April 1st, 2010

The universe gives us opportunities to take divinely inspired action to manifest what we seek. These opportunities can take unexpected forms, so it can be hard to recognize the inspirations that come your way.

Open Every Door

How do you know if you are being presented with an open door? You don’t know until you try it. The solution is to pursue every open door until you recognize emotionally that it is not aligned with what you seek. Take every opportunity. Once you start investigating, you will hear the details. Then you can decide if that doorway is for you.

When you say yes to opportunities, you can refine your vision. Keep saying yes until you know it’s not for you. If you find it’s not for you, instead of being disappointed, you say to the universe that you are proud of yourself for going in and investigating. Recognize that there was some piece of evidence you found out that you are supposed to have for the next time around. There’s always significant learning in the process that you can use in the future. If you focus on being disappointed, the universe will give you more of what you don’t want.

Sometimes our “right” door is hiding just behind a door that seems “wrong” As long as the “wrong” door does not involve dangerous or self-defeating thoughts and activities it should be investigated. Sometimes our faith and patience are tested by this setup. To help you on your path, keep asking yourself if you will learn something valuable by walking through the first door. If you realize it isn’t the right one be thankful for the education you’ve received and move on. Then look around for a new doorway – one will always be there and you can always apply what you’ve learned in the past to the next open door.

If you bring your thoughts, emotions and energies into balance with your desires, your door will open easily; however if you are not in harmony with your desires you will have to tear the door down.

Negativity

Even people who take the time for spiritual practices in order to maintain connection to spirit have negative experiences. They may be able to trace their thoughts back and be clear about their personal responsibility, but that doesn’t mean they were aware enough to prevent the negative experiences entirely.

What must happen is that we stop looking at our negative experiences as a negative. When we see our experiences as negative we are saying we are not sufficient or worthy and we prevent divine inspiration.

There are always opportunities to judge something as negative, but when we say something is negative and is our fault, we stunt your growth. When we stunt our growth we prevent our ability to rally, to be resilient, to be tenacious-to attract what we seek. Instead of judging something as negative, we can claim all the positive and all the learning from that experience. When we have a negative experience, it’s important to make a shift and say that it was valuable, meant to be. We take our learning, lick our wounds, and move on.

February 28th, 2010

Did you know you can increase brain power just by walking alone? Research shows that people who walk are doing a huge service for their brains. As a person walks the blood circulates faster. At the same time more glucose and oxygen are sent to the brain. This is possible because walking is a very low impact type of exercise.

Exercising using fast paced movements means that your body will absorb the increased glucose and oxygen and it will never actually reach the brain. Children love being physical from the time they start walking, so they will enjoy the exercise of going with you on a daily basis. It also creates a lifelong habit they will continue to follow when they grow up. It assures them of healthy mental abilities when they\’re young as well as future adults.

They will stay that way too instead of slipping as they get older. You can get them a stroller or a wagon to help keep the pace rapid until they are old enough to keep up with you. Many parents walk at tracks around playgrounds too. This is perfect because the children get to play while you walk. Yet you can still keep a close eye on them while you do so.

Improving Concentration – Improve It By Doing Math

February 26th, 2010

When it comes to improving concentration, here\’s one idea you may not have thought of. As adults we tend to rely on other methods for calculating things. As a result our skills aren\’t nearly as sharp as they used to be. Simple math can become a struggle if you don\’t work on it.

We rely on calculators to prepare our monthly budgets, reconcile our checking accounts, and do routine calculations. When we put together spreadsheets, there is no need for us to make sure our figures are correct, as most of these programs perform automatic calculations.

As your skills significantly improve you need to challenge yourself to do more of the math in your head and this helps in improving concentration. This is more difficult but as you work at it you will find that you are able to do it in no time at all. You will be able to quickly determine how much of the bill is yours as well as how much of a tip you should leave based upon your balance that is owed.

When you go back to doing math by hand and in your mind it is going to take you more time than before. This can be frustrating if you deal with numbers often throughout the day. You will be pleasantly surprised too as you notice your skills improving concentration over the course of time.

However, make a rule that you only use it after you have made a very good attempt to get the answer on your own. You can use the calculator as a way to verify that your answers are correct. The more your challenge yourself to do your math by hand or in your mind the more your mind is going to benefit. When we stop using a part of our brain functions we will lose them.

Before you waste a lot of time on any improving memory programs, be sure to check out this blog that gives you free tips and tricks on improving your memory.
