Best Acne Treatment Options – Which Is Best For You?

July 6th, 2010

The best acne treatment is the one that works. There are tons of different treatments for acne, ranging from home remedies to real medicine. Because what works for one person might not work for the next person, there are many different treatments.

Bacteria is always the cause of acne. The bacterium gets in the pores and causes inflammation that is sometimes coupled with a light infection of the skin. Not deadly by any means, but uncomfortable and in some cases it can be unsightly. Typically focusing on clearing up the immediate infection of the skin, acne remedies rarely treat the underlying bacteria.

The best acne treatment may be something that can be done at home, for relatively little or no cost. A favored home remedy is a mask made of honey and oatmeal. The idea behind this is that the oatmeal gets rid of the dead skin and the honey gets rid of the bacteria and acne by utilizing its antibacterial properties. Another favored home remedy involves using a bit of tea tree oil on a cotton swab to kill the bacteria on the skin and reduce the outbreak of acne.

There are plenty of over the counter treatments for acne that may be the best acne treatment. Most over the counter medications to treat acne have benzyl peroxide in the ingredient list which will dry the face out and remove any excess oil for the pores of the face to reduce the risk that acne will develop.

Your best remedy may have to come from a doctor. A dermatologist can be consulted in the worst cases of acne. Salves, cream, or oral medications can sometimes be prescribed, if a doctor writes you one. Though it is the most expensive option, it holds the most hope for those who have terrible cases of acne.

There is only one way to determine which acne treatment is the best: whichever one works the quickest and most effective for you personally. The best acne treatment is one that works for you. There are so many different skin types and tons of options that it is hard to pick one option for everybody.

Many young adults and teens are on the look out for the best acne treatment, but the truth is that no treatment will work for everyone. Finding out what has worked for others with your skin type might get you the best results.

Acne No More Review

May 20th, 2010

There is nothing as frustrating as having spots all over your skin especially around your face. I had this problem once but I didn’t give it much attention. At first I thought the spots that appeared on my face were just normal pimples and that with time they would disappear. After a couple of weeks I realized that the “pimples” had started to grow and at times were painful and this got me very worried.

After spending considerable time doing research, I discovered that what appeared on my face were not normal pimples but a condition known as acne. I searched for possible solutions on the net. There are products that several online readers recommended that I use, so I went and bought them. I tried using gels, cleansers and creams that were found in drug stores but the problem would not go away. It just kept growing and getting worse.

I almost gave up looking for a cure when a friend of mine who had the same problem came to my rescue. She told me about this book that can get rid of skin acne. I could not believe that a book could really cure skin acne. Anyway, I had nothing to lose. So when I went home I logged on to their website and carried out a research about this product. I found a lot of interesting facts and solutions in this e-book and also read about the benefits others had after following the instructions from this ebook. Needles to say I bought Acne No More.

What I found interesting is that the author begins by explaining what acne is. This helped me understand acne and what causes it. The author writes in a simple way that is easy for an ordinary person to follow. The book, Acne No More provides its readers with health topics that are designed to prevent acne. Some of the topics that were very useful to me included topics like internal cleansing and having proper diet.

The book gives a list of diets that if followed will help you in not only curing acne, but preventing it altogether. I can assure you that the diet works. The diet is not restrictive but allows you to develop one you are comfortable with. I started putting what I read into action and within three weeks into using Acne No More I began seeing the positive effects of the program.

I can proudly say that after six weeks using the program provided by the Acne No More, my skin had a complete transformation. Not only was the acne gone, but my skin became healthier and soft. Everywhere I went my friends asked me if I had a plastic surgery. But I always tell them that it had to do with Acne No More. Today, thanks to Acne No More, I have regained my self confidence and I don’t feel embarrassed standing in front of people like I used to.

Acne Treatment During Pregnancy

May 18th, 2010

It is a joyful moment whenever a lady is expecting a baby, however, pregnancy may also cause the skin of a woman to break out as never before. Well, you should not bother about that whatsoever; it’s natural for the progesterone level of the pregnant woman to increase. And it can lead to a distressing skin ailment. The good news is that there’s remedy!

If you are thinking of getting any kind of acne treatment while pregnant, you have to be aware of critical facts before stepping out. There are some acne medications that are dangerous for expecting mothers and this kind of medications must be avoided.

Acne Treatment Options during Pregnancy – What to stay away from

Accutane

You have to be careful about the sort of acne treatment you seek for if you are pregnant. There are specific acne treatments that are firmly to be avoided during pregnancy. One such treatment is Accutane. This really is one drug that a pregnant woman should NEVER take. It’s been proved over and over that accutane leads to birth defects, and also has high chance of causing miscarriage.

Currently, the law requires females using accutane to enroll in a national database and subsequently be tested for pregnancy every other thirty days. This is to make sure that such women are not using accutane during pregnancy, or that they have not become pregnant in the course of the medication. The fact is to ensure that a pregnant woman is kept off from such treatment that can hurt the unborn baby.

Retin-A

Yet another acne medication that physicians are not willing to prescribe to pregnant women is Retin-A. This treatment method is also a derivative of vitamin A but not as concentrated as Accutane. It is applied topically. A small amount of Retin-A does goes into the blood stream when applied; this makes Retin-A an dangerous acne medication during pregnancy.

Tetracycline

You will certainly love to stay safe and protect the fetus during pregnancy; if your answer is yes, then you should also keep off from tetracycline. Without doubt, tetracycline works well for acne treatment as an oral antibiotic, but it has been medically confirmed that the drug has a negative effect on the bone structure of the unborn baby.

Also, there are certain creams and cleansers at the local drug stores that are not entirely safe acne treatments during pregnancy. Salicylic acid and Benzylperoxide would be the two ingredients that most of the over-the-counter remedies for acne contain. These ingredients are potentially dangerous for the pregnant woman.

Safe Acne Treatment during Pregnancy – Try them out

You may be thinking there is no secure acne treatment option left for the pregnant woman; needless to say there is. It’s going to be the natural way. Natural remedies for acne are the safest option for a pregnant woman. In addition to the natural treatment listed below, a healthy dietary pattern is also essential.

Lemon Juice

Exactly like any other astringent, lemon juice can be directly applied onto the face using a cotton ball. Alternatively, you can prepare a soothing wash by mixing lemon juice with milk. This natural acne remedy is safe for use during pregnancy.

Oatmeal

This is among the least expensive and powerful natural remedies for acne and it is safe for a pregnant woman. You can abandon the cream and sugar when preparing it. Apply directly to your face and wash off with warm water after about 15 minutes or a bit more.

Also try out a mix of honey and cinnamon; it works like magic in drying out the acne spots. A natural astringent you should also explore is, Witch hazel; it is quite powerful in acne treatment.

The natural remedies are often mild and may take time to produce a noticeable result; however, it is better to take it slow and steady and keep yourself and your baby safe.

The Secret Acne Cure Review

May 16th, 2010

There is nothing as embarrassing and discomforting as having an acne problem. I experienced this condition for several years and it wasn’t until I discovered The Secret Acne Cure that all my problems disappeared. Before starting to use the treatment program, I had tried several medications prescribed by dermatologists and some I bought over the counter without much success. Instead of the condition improving or disappearing, it got worse. This affected the way I related with others since I wasn’t comfortable socializing freely.

Then one day while browsing the net I came across a review that was talking about the best acne products available in the market. On top of that list was The Secret Acne Cure, and after reading about its benefits and what it could do, I decided to go to their website to give it a try. I can confidently tell you that taking the decision to use the eBook is the wisest thing that I have ever done. I had a misconception about acne and its causes. Most of the people I consulted told me that the condition was as a result of genes. However, in his eBook, David Daniels has clearly stated that acne is a sign of something wrong with the body balance and the best way of dealing with it is identifying and correcting its root causes.

Before using The Secret Acne Cure, i had tried countless number of herbs and medications such as gels, cleansers, and lotions in an attempt to get rid of the skin acne but to no avail. I now understand that these items were not designed to treat the root causes of acne. I also tried antibiotics but gave up after the condition became worse. When acne didn’t disappear some of my friends encouraged me to use Accutane as they had heard about its benefits. The worst mistake I ever made was to buy the product, since it severely affected my health.

The Secret Acne Cure gives excellent and detailed instructions on how to get rid of acne in just one week. With just three easy to follow steps I was able to get rid of skin acne without being forced to purchase expensive cleaners, cosmetics, zit creams or over the counter acne pills. (Which are just rip offs)

When I began following the steps given in the book, I was really skeptical but after a few days my confidence levels in the program rose as I began to see positive results. According to the eBook it is not enough to have knowledge or information about ways of eliminating acne. On the contrary, if you want to completely wipe out acne you have to be disciplined and follow the program completely.

The Secret Acne Cure provides a holistic and healthier approach in curing acne. The author provides a natural way to clear up acne and in addition solve other skin problems such as dry and oily skin. I used the program and I can tell you now that I am totally acne free.

Causes of UTI

February 22nd, 2010
Layers of the urinary bladder wall and cross s...

Many people suffer from chronic UTI. The medical term UTI stands for urinary tract infection. Signs of a UTI include the following: frequent urges to urinate, urine that looks cloudy, and painful and burning urination.

Some home remedies provide UTI relief, but that relief may be only temporary. First and foremost, you should drink plenty of fluids (especially water) to flush out the bladder. Cranberry juice is helpful as well in providing UTI relief, as it inhibits the growth of bacteria and makes it harder for the bacteria to cling to the urinary tract walls. Celery, watermelon and parsley can also contribute to UTI relief by acting as a diuretic and flushing out the bladder.

If you are unable to visit your doctor after symptoms appear, there are several natural remedies to bring relief.
1)At the first sign of infection, mix teaspoon of baking soda into a eight-ounce glass of water. Baking soda increases the acid-base balance in your system, bringing down the acidity in your urine.
2)Stay hydrated. Though it may feel as if you need to urinate every few minutes, your body is still craving fluids. Cleansing your body with water will move along any unwanted bacteria.
3)Known for its power of fighting the common cold, Echinacea can be helpful in battling your UTI. Taking two capsules three times a day can start you on the path back to wellness.
4)Possibly the most well known natural form of relief is cranberry juice. It works by not allowing bacteria to cling to cells lining the urinary tract and offers quick relief. While tart in flavor, cranberry juice is often one of the fastest and most effective ways to eliminate an infection.

If you catch your UTI at the very first sign of symptoms (painful urinating, constant urge to urinate, lower abdominal pain) you may be able to flush out the bacteria with plain water. Drink plenty of water and it will dilute and flush out the toxins. Another natural remedy to try at the first signs of a UTI is baking soda. Mix 1/2 teaspoon in an eight ounce glass of water and drink. The baking soda will raise the acid balance in your urine.

Cranberry juice has been a popular natural treatment for centuries. This treatment has been used as an effective way to flush the bacteria. The treatment is also thought to be especially effective because it can prevent bacteria from adhering to the walls of the urinary tract system. Cranberry juice can also inhibit the growth of bacteria.

Telepathic Humans – Just A Myth?

February 22nd, 2010
Example of a subject in a Ganzfeld experiment.
Image via Wikipedia

When we say someone is \’telepathic\’ what do we really mean? Most people just dismiss the idea of telepathy as belonging to mysticism or science fiction. On the other hand, don\’t we live in a world where people fly on a regular basis? Where information floats invisibly through the air for use with laptops and cell phones? Where anyone can conjure a flame in their hand with the use of a $1 cigarette lighter?

Is has been said that a sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. The human race has used science and technology to learn things about the natural world we never knew. We\’ve done things that were considered impossible flights of fancy just a hundred years ago. We\’ve had men walk on the bottoms of the oceans and on the surface of the moon (and we did it with technology that, by today\’s standards, seems primitive). We can gather energy from the sun, the wind, and the water. And anyone can have a small device in their pocket that allows them to talk to anyone anywhere in the world. But this isn\’t magic, its science right?

Is it then really too much of a stretch to accept the possibility of telepathic people? An individual who developed these mental properties would just be misunderstood by most people.

Investigation, by scientists, of people who are telepathic, is called parapsychology or paraphysics. Even those who investigate this use scientific methods and experiments to get answers to questions on telepathy regardless of what the answer may be or whether its the answer they are looking for.

Some experiments on people with Telepathic powers have produced tantalizing results. In order to consider something scientifically provable, however, the test results must be measurable, consistent, and repeatable. This is where the scientific investigation of telepathy falls short. The test results are inconsistent and can\’t always be duplicated. Some say this proves people can\’t really be Telepathic. Others say this only proves that we don\’t understand how it works yet, and haven\’t developed the proper tests to measure it.

How is it possible there are individuals who are Telepathic? How do they communicate with only their minds without using all their other senses? Obviously it is by a means not understood completely. One that doesnt involve hearing, taste, smell or touch, but nevertheless exists. Think what can be done using our advanced communication technology. You can\’t see, feel, smell or touch radio waves, but we all know they exist.

Many scientists are now investigating the concept of \’thought waves\’? These are possibly electrical or magnetic fields generated by the brain and these have been scientifically proven to exist. Explaining this in terms for the average person might be a little difficult, but stay with us.

Scientifically, human thought is just a biochemical process of neurons being transferred between different synapses in the brain. However, this transfer of neurons creates an electrical current. Tiny, sure, but measurable. This electrical current also generates a tiny magnetic field. Keep in mind the brain has tens of thousands of synapses firing at any one time.

Is it possible for these bio-electric and bio-magnetic fields to be used by humans to communicate? Are these waves just meaningless static or do they have content equivalent of the brain? Can these brain waves be controlled by mental training? Can the techniques of meditation be used to shape brain waves into communications of significance?

With the magnetic or electrical fields there are problems and these fields can easily be drowned out by the technology of everyday items like televisions, microwaves, refrigerators, stereos produce much bigger electrical and magnetic fields.

There are, however, problems with the electrical and magnetic fields. Unfortunately these fields can be overpowered by everyday technology. For example the microwave, television, refrigerator. These everyday items produce much larger magnetic fields and electrical fields. Is it possible to reach the brains magnetic and electrical fields during an emotionally heightened state, fear, pain or shock? During these emotionally charged times, in the brain, a spiking of bio-magnetic and bio-electric activity is created by neuron synapses firing.

Researchers of parapsychology have documented brief Telepathic communications. One instance is a mothers knowing her child has been hurt, even though they are separated by many miles. This fear and anxiety the parent experiences creates the spiking of neurons and is this brain activity telepathically communicating? Does the relationship between two individuals contribute to telepathy? Or perhaps is this all just coincidence?

Too little scientific evidence exists to prove, without a doubt, telepathy is factual. However, this is gradually changing. More and more studies are being conducted and show humans are telepathic and with proper instruction and training can develop this ability.

The author Jason D Stevens writes for the http://www.telepathyrevealed.com website. You can find out how easy it is to learn telepathy for yourself and get a free CD package to help you become telepathic when you visit here.

Urinary Tract Infection Cure

February 22nd, 2010
The interior of bladder.
Image via Wikipedia

Pain while urinating and blood in your urine are often a signs of a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection). UTIs are usually the result of bacteria in your urine. How the bacteria ends up in your urinary tract systems is not always clear but some people are more prone to frequent UTIs than others. Many UTIs can be treated naturally.

Urinary tract infections are often treated by antibiotics (which can have side effects such as nausea, diarrhea or allergic reactions) or the home remedies listed above. Home remedies may help decrease the number of bacteria or provide UTI relief, but rarely can completely eliminate the infection itself.

There are several natural solutions that you can implement to reverse the causes of UTI. Drinking a lot of water is a good way to get rid of potential bacteria that can cause a UTI. avoiding coffee and spicy food can combat the causes of UTI because these foods can irritate the bladder. Decreaseing your sexual activity can combat the causes of UTI. By decreasing your sexual ac tivity you decrease the chance of infection intering your urethra and bladder.

A common natural UTI treatment is to flush the bacteria by drinking lots of water and other non-sugar based liquids. Flushing the bacteria from your urine helps to greatly diminish the painful side effects of a UTI. It is important to avoid sugar based liquids because they tend to encourage bacterial growth. The goal of naturally treating a UTI is to completely stop bacterial growth and remove the bacteria from your urinary tract system.

The most common solution to a urinary tract infection is to take doctor prescribed antibiotics, but there are some natural alternatives for those who do not wish to go that route. One common way to treat a bladder infection naturally is cranberry juice. Cranberry juice is high in acidity, which can help restore the natural pH balance found in the bladder and help fight off those nasty germs that caused the problem in the first place. You need to be careful though when using cranberry juice for a bladder infection because the high acidity of the juice can in some cases cause more irritation and inflammation.

Urizol offers a safe, effective, natural path to UTI relief. Since Urizol does not require a prescription, there are no costly trips to the doctor, no waiting, and, best of all, Urizol provides fast relief of the pain, pressure and burning that accompanies urinary tract infections.
